A large scale urban community led housing ecosystem
The Hastings Commons Case Study
Energy retrofit is a pressing issue facing communities across the country and CLTs are in a great position to tackle this given their resilience and community-building experience.
Emma Fletcher, Chair of Swaffham Prior CLT, is leading one of the UK’s first retrofit fossil-fuel free district heating systems on a whole village scale. Emma talks about how CLTs can help their communities tackle fuel poverty and meet government targets for retrofit in the coming years. Emma also discusses how Swaffham Prior achieved their retrofit project and details the common pitfalls and issues to be aware of when taking on a project like this.
This webinar also features Jon Lee, Business Development Manager at Ecology Building Society, on how groups can fund retrofit projects.
