Biography: Darlene has been over 25 years working in housing across Merseyside, London & Essex. Working for RSL's & Local Authorities establishing & delivering community regeneration strategies. Darlene has experience of leading on resident engagement in Housing Market Renewal programmes.
Darlene spent 7 years working with Phoenix Community Housing a Community Gateway Housing Association in Lewisham as Head of Community Regeneration. This involved leading on the co-production of a Resident led and Youth Engagement Strategy, with residents & staff across the business. The establishment of a construction Academy with Barking College & Lewisham's Mayor's Office. Working with resident to lead, influence & shape the housing & community services.
Darlene has extensive board experience and has previously held the role of Chair with Amadudu Women's Refuge, previous board member of Steve Biko Housing Association & Liverpool Homelessness football club. Darlene is currently working with Granby 4 Streets Community Land Trust as a freelance consultant.
